Todd Seipert
Todd has been involved with music and the arts all his life. He
started playing the piano around the age of 12. Much to the frustration
of many teachers he always seemed to want to add his own thing!
After lessons here and there throughout the years, he "switched" to
French Horn and then saxophone, all the while playing the piano.
Throughout Jr. High and High School, he played saxophone. Eventually
a more serious study of piano came at Southern Utah University under
the direction of Don Massengale, PhD. Though trying to raise a family,
work full-time, church obligations, led to the discontinuation of the formal
schooling. Though the official study ended, the playing and love of music
did not.
Quite a few years have passed since Southern Utah University but the
music has not ended. Over the years Todd has played in many different
venues, restaurants, weddings, church meetings and other such events.
During those years as well he was a guest soloist with the Orchestra of
Southern Utah in their annual Recital Series. With the Utah Shakespearean
Festival he was the pre-show music entertainment in 2006. A highlighting
moment while finishing his MFA in Arts Administration in Sydney Australia,
with the Sydney Symphony Orchestra, was to play on stage at the famous
Sydney Opera House.
Along with playing the piano and various instruments, he also has sung
with many choirs over the United States, including a most memorable year
with the Mormon Youth Symphony and Chorus.
He is available for private lessons and playing at events, or whatever you
might need. Please feel free to contact him at [email protected].
Todd lives currently in Utah with his loving wife and five wonderful children.
